In response to the increasingly pressing human and society issues relating to digital technology, cybersecurity has as many definitions as there are people to define it.

This educational publication for professionals in cybersecurity aims to provide, if not a benchmark definition, at least a reference definition which will include every interpretation of the word while helping everyone come to grips with other interpretations.

A word about the author

The AFNOR “Information Security, personal information and privacy protection” standardization commission(CN SSI) is made up of leading groups, SSII, and public authorities. It addresses issues which include the management of information security, cryptography and security systems, security assessment methods, security measures, identity management and privacy protection technologies.
