White Paper: How a CSR policy contributes to the SDGs?

AFNOR Certification's Committed CSR label allows you to measure your contribution to the SDGs.

Adopted at the UN in 2015 as part of a program called the 2030 Agenda, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) offer a new framework of binding universal objectives for businesses and local authorities. To measure how to contribute, organizations can rely on the Committed CSR label. Based on the international standard ISO 26000, this independent assessment makes it possible to initiate a CSR approach, to display it and to measure its contribution to the SDGs.

The objectives of this white paper are to:

  • Make the SDGs concrete so that they are more automatically linked to an existing or deployed CSR approach;
  • Make the ISO 26000 and the Commited to CSR Label two tools for measuring your contribution to the SDGs
  • Formalize the links between ISO 26000 - the international voluntary standard on the social responsibility of organizations -, the Committed CSR label and the 17 United Nations SDGs;
  • Encourage organizations to use the SDGs as guidelines to improve their CSR approaches;
  • Participate in the national reflection on the levers to activate so that organizations can take ownership of the SDGs more quickly, as part of the development of the Government Roadmap on the SDGs

By confronting, chapter by chapter, the Committed CSR label with the 17 SDGs, this white paper reveals numerous links, opening the door to a common operational reading grid. It helps organizations to identify CSR actions and projects that can contribute to the objectives of the United Nations.

The Committed CSR Label is now your tool for measuring your contribution to the SDGs!
